The Scout Association has various processes in place to ensure that appropriate adults can take up volunteering opportunities; one element being the requirement of a Disclosure check.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Disclosure is an important element for making safer appointment decisions, ensuring that appropriate people can work with vulnerable groups, including children. It replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).
All members over eighteen years of age who are attending our trips must have a valid Scout Association DBS.
